BET Hip-Hop Awards Score Record Ratings, Reed Between The Lines Premieres To Respectable Numbers

  • Between the Hip-Hop Awards 2011 show and the premiere of Reed Between the Lines, our BET family must be feeling pretty good about their programming on Tuesday night. According to Deadline.com:

“BET’s Hip Hop Awards 2011 last night drew 4.1 million viewers, the largest audience ever for the franchise on the cable network. In adults, the show was up 16% from last year. The Hip Hop Awards served as a launching pad for BET’s new sitcom, Reed Between The Lines, which opened with two back-to-back episodes averaging 3.3 million and 2.9 million, respectively. That was below the big January debuts of The Game (7.7 million) and Let’s Stay Together (4.4 million) but still very respectable.”

We watched Reed Between the Lines, but we’re going to give it a fair chance before we pass judgment. What did you think about the Hip-Hop Awards and Reed Between the Lines?
