Sean Parker Joins Twitter With An Apology

  • Napster co-founder and former Facebook president Sean Parker joined Twitter yesterday. If you don’t know who he is, he’s the technology whiz that Justin Timberlake played in The Social Network. Ring a bell?

A tweet hasn’t caused this much hoopla since Congressman Weiner tweeted a picture of his, well, you remember. Sent from a verified account, Parker tweeted, “Sorry Zuck, I had to do it eventually. (Actually @scooterbraun made me do it.)” Scooter Braun is Justin Bieber’s manager. And Zuck, of course, refers to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

A recent Forbes article hints at his involvement with a few startups, as well as Airtime, his new live video site, so I would imagine this move is a bit strategic. Now people will be able to put a face to his infamous reputation.

By the end of Monday, @sparker already had nearly 17,000 followers. Not bad for a day’s work.
