CherryOnTop’s ‘Hip-Pop’ Roundtable
-

From time to time, we ask our friends at various media outlets what they think about hot topics of the entertainment industry. These are people who are ‘OnTop’ of their game, and you should be too. Here’s what they had to say:
Do you buy Gate Five’s argument that Beyoncé demanded more money?
- Donovan Moore – XXL
I do not buy Gate Five’s argument because Beyoncé already have a lot of money She’s very successful and is the biggest artist in pop music of our generation

I do think it is possible that Beyonce requested more compensation after the agreement was in place causing the investors to back out of the project but Game Five’s suit for $100M is excessive.According to the court petition floating around on the internet, Game Five was only out of $6.7M when the investor pulled out. If that was due in part by Beyonce reneging on the deal, then they are entitled to recover that amount plus specified damages.
Game Five’s suit for $100M is based on potential sales- um…oh kayyyyyyyy
I’m curious to see what the actual agreement stated. If she agreed to the terms of the original contract, then she is legally bound; breaching makes her a dummy!

I mean, a diva is a female version of a hustler. Everyone knows this. HOWEVER, at what point does the hustling stop? She was probably going to get an absurd amount of money to do things she does in her music videos anyway, why would she demand more?
