The Trade

  • Since the craziness of the lockout, NBA fans have been anxiously awaiting news on the trade. This trade had many people on their toes in anticipation of what teams their favorite players would up end up on. The biggest names in the trade were Chris Paul (traded to the Clippers), Lamar Odom (traded to the Mavericks), Tyson Chandler (traded to The Knicks) and Chauncey Billups (traded to the Clippers). Fans all have mixed feelings, however, the trade of Tyson Chandler to the Knicks have New Yorkers hyped!!! It has been a long time that the Knicks have a team that can make it to the playoffs and actually win the championship. With the addition of Amar’e Stoudemire a few years back and Carmelo Anthony last year, people have began to believe the Knicks have a chance of WINNING! In the company of Chandler, Stoudemire and Anthony on one team, no telling how far the Knicks are going to go.

    Lamar Odom, aka Mr. NBA Sixth Man of the Year, will be moving to Dallas, Texas. His seven year tenure as a Laker has come to an end at the prime of his career. Not only that, he and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, who have made their home in Los Angeles, lives will be abruptly altered. Nevertheless, this is potentially good news for them because through their reality show, they can shed some light on Dallas and become royalty in their new city. I can see it now: Khloe and Lamar Take Over Dallas!!!!

    Chris Paul, the former New Orleans Hornet, is now a Clipper! This has been the first time in years that the Clippers also have a chance of going ALL THE WAY! They have a current lineup of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Chauncey Billups. Due to this lineup, there will be two teams in California that people will be paying close attention to. All we know at CherryOnTop, is that even though the season is short, it will be CRAZY!

    I’m already getting ready for Christmas for the game aginst Boston I cant wait. I got high hopes for the Knicks.

    This season will def be entertaining. The main thing to watch out for is injuries with teams playing so many games in a short period of time. I’m def pulling for the Knicks to do well…they have the best 3,4,5 in the league!
