According to magazines, dating experts, parents and even your girlfriends, if you sleep with a man on the first date, he will never want a relationship, and chances are, he won’t respect you. How true is this? Fifty percent of men like the chase and are more intrigued when a woman plays hard to get. Nevertheless, men will not pass up a night of passion if a woman is willing to give it up. The other 50% of men prefer when a woman does not put a time requirement on having sex. The way a man thinks is simple – she’s going to give it up eventually, so why wait?

When a woman first meets a man, she knows instantly if she’s going to sleep with him or not. The debatable question is what will it take for her to actually go there? A lot of times, women want to take the next step, but fear of judgment will stop them. No one wants to be judged by one experience, especially in a negative way. Unfortunately, in the world we live in today, you’re going to run into guys who will hit it and quit it. You have no control on how a situation will play out after having sex with him on the first date. The best thing to do before taking that big step is make sure you won’t regret anything and use protection.

Some people compare having “sex on the first date” to “love at first sight”. Love at first sight means meeting someone for the first time, knowing automatically they’re the one and feeling very strongly and passionately about them. Sex on the first date is based on the amount of lust you have for the guy you’re with. Whether you decide to take it to that level or not, it’s not based on love.

At the end of the day, a person’s decision to have sex on the first date depends on that person and their level of comfort. People are always going to have something to say or a reason to judge a person, but that’s why you don’t let everyone into your bedroom. If you’re someone who cares what others think, chances are having sex on the first date is something you should not do. Whatever decision you make, choose wisely because you will not be able to turn back the hands of time.
