Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer Nab Oscar Nominations

  • We are so excited for Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer! Both ladies were nominated for Academy Awards for their work in The Help – Viola for Best Actress for her role as the seemingly unaffected, but proud maid Aibileen Clark, and Octavia Viola for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of the feisty Minnie Jackson. Congrats to both ladies!! Now we have a reason to watch the awards ceremony this year. The 84th Academy Awards broadcasts on Sunday, February 26 on ABC.
