On moving on without Stacey Dash who played her best friend on the show:

“Believe me I wish things had worked out because I thought Stacey and I were great together. She was my age and we were working it. It was sex-symbol to sex-symbol. But she didn’t want to be there. I was disappointed about that. She had some issues. I’m not sure exactly what those issues were. In the end, she and VH1 made a decision.”

On the catfights that really went down on set:

“Yes, there was a disagreement over a scene. And it really wasn’t with me. It was with the director. I think it was about 2 or 3AM and we’d been shooting all damn day. Stacey tried to argue with the director about a line. And I’m like: ‘Girl, if you don’t say what the director wants you to say.’ It wasn’t that serious at first, but it went there.

It’s a bunch of women on the set. We might all be on our damn period at any given point. I just wanted us to move forward. Then the argument took on a life of its own. The show decided to use it for publicity. They just ran with it.”

Stop right there! Don’t put that remote down just yet! May sweeps may be over, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything to watch. Tuesday, May 29 at 8:00 on The CW tune in to watch people working at a hotel in South Beach Florida who might need some assistance from the people staying at the hotel. The name of the hotel is The Catalina, as coincidentally, is the name of the show.

Wednesday, May 30 at 8:00, CBS brings you Dogs in the City with Justin Silver. It’s like Sex in the City, except that every dog is an un-pottytrained, overweight, anxiety-ridden Samantha. He’s basically The Dog Whisperer, but since they’re in the city, he’ll have to speak a bit louder. Even better news: They’re casting! Click the link to enter!

Thursday, May 31 at 8:00 come back to The CW for Breaking Pointe. “Pointe” as in a ballerina’s pointe shoes and “Breaking” as in what happens to Natalie Portman’s character in Black Swan, but without the (actual?) feather growth. This docudrama has everything it takes to succeed, but do the dancers?

Monday, June 4 at 10:00 on Sundance Channel, tune in to see five extraordinary women lead just as extraordinary lives on Push Girls. Chelsie, Mia, Angela, Auti, and Tiphany may live their lives in wheelchairs, but they determine where their chairs go next. Undoubtedly, this will be the cure for those unexpected summer storms.

Thursday, June 21 at 10:00 on MTV, get ready for a Snooki & JWoww relocation from Jersey Shore to… Jersey  City. The girls may not get to fit in as many barhops and shenanigans as they intended now that Snooki is pregnant, but that certainly won’t stop them from trying! Tune in for gems like, “Honestly, I didn’t even know that I could make a baby. So the fact that I can reproduce is very scary.”

Monday, July 9 at 10:00 on E!, watch your favorite Youtube singers become opening acts for artists like Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Gym Class Heroes, and Mary J. Blige. Hosted by American Idol‘s Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe, Opening Act will be the reason webcams and microphones sell out at Best Buy this summer.

Wednesday, July 11 at 9:00, get ready for another glimpse into that 90210 zip code. From the production company of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County, Beverly Hills Nannies will look at the privileged tots of those housewives (or maybe their neighbors) and the nannies that care for them. Finally, we’ll all get to see how to properly iron a designer onesie

While many have labeled President Barack Obama’s support of gay marriage as a move that will cost him the black vote, Jay-Z has praised his decision. “I’ve always thought it as something that was still, um, holding the
country back,” the hip-hop superstar told CNN of not allowing same-sex couples to wed.

“What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It is no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple.”

Jay made the statement while in Philadelphia to announce his “Budweiser Made in America” festival.

When asked if he believed the President’s support of same-sex marriage would cost him votes, Jay acknowledged that it probably would. However, he expanded, the issue “wasn’t about votes, it was about people,” adding that it was “the right thing to do.”

While Jay is not a political rapper (nor does he claim to be), he has been a supporter of the President for a while. He has demonstrated that support on tracks like “My President is Black” and “History,” and has shouted him out in tracks like “Jockin’ Jay-Z” and “On to the Next One”.

We’re not even sure why we’re addressing this because no one in their right mind would believe anything Suge Knight has to say…slow news day we guess. Anyway, audio emerged last week of the former Death Row CEO basically claiming Tupac Shakur (who was signed to Death Row at the time of his death) was a homophobe. According to Suge, Tupac “ended his professional relationship with a famous hip-hop star because Suge believed the rapper was a gay man.”

Not surprisingly, in response to Suge’s accusation, Tupac’s family is crying foul, and according to TMZ:

“…sources close to the Tupac estate tell TMZ … the Shakur family feels very strongly that Suge’s claims are “totally false” … and point to his friendship with the famous designer Gianni Versace, who was an openly gay man.

In fact, Tupac reportedly participated in a Versace fashion show in Italy back in 1996 … and even rocked a Versace suit on the catwalk.”

Even if this was true, why is Suge talking about this nearly 16 years after Tupac’s death??? Anything to hold onto his last shred of relevancy we guess…
