“I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident and that time was probably the worst part of my life and being that she has and she’s a wonderful person I’m eternally grateful and thankful.”

Speaking on the current state of their relationship, the “Take You Down” singer told Ryan that he tries to keep things fun. “It’s still like we’re kids,” he explained. “I

try not to be too grown and be like, ‘Lets have candlelight dinner every night.’ I try to make sure everything is fun. It has to be fun and it has to be genuine.”

A$AP Rocky Covers Interview Magazine, Talks The "Gay Thing" In Hip-Hop

A$AP Rocky covers the April issue of Interview, and in an interview with Alexander Wang for the mag, the “Goldie” rapper spoke on hip-hop and the “gay thing”. Acknowledging that having a microphone in his hand gives him a platform to tell people how he feels, A$AP singled out homosexuality as one of the issues in hip-hop that bothers him. He said:

“For instance, one big issue in hip-hop is the gay thing. It’s 2013, and it’s a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It’s crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip-hop is small-minded or stupid — and that’s not the

case.”

A$AP, who most recently was romantically linked to Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman, named Jay-Z and Kanye West as a few of the rappers who are symbolic of a less close-minded era in hip-hop. He said:

“We’ve got people like Jay-Z. We’ve got people like Kanye. We’ve got people like me. We’re all prime examples of people who don’t think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they’re gonna represent me. And if I’m gonna represent them, then I also want to do it in a good way.”

Johnny Gill Addresses Gay Rumors (Video)

Johnny Gill and Eddie Murphy have been dogged with rumors that they are engaged in a homosexual relationship for years. During an interview with The Insider’s Kevin Frazier, Johnny finally addressed the chatter about the nature of his relationship with the legendary comedian, saying, “Let me make sure we’re clear on something, whether you’re being called gay, accused of being a thief, accused of anything, if somebody’s lying or saying something that’s not true, that just doesn’t feel good.”

Acknowledging that he and Eddie are “tight”, Johnny cited examples of other close Hollywood friendships that have been the subject of gay rumors. “They said it about Oprah [Winfrey] and Gayle [King],” he said. “They said about Will [Smith] and Duane Martin, I guess we fit

in the group of because we’ve always been tight.”

As for how Eddie feels about the rumors, the R&B singer added, “Eddie could care less about it. Anybody that knows Eddie knows that Eddie lives Eddie’s life and he’ll look at you straight up and tell you keep messing with me and I’ll hit you with my wallet and knock you out and keep it rocking.”

Pilar Sanders’ Rep: “The Divorce Proceedings Have Not Yet Even Begun”

DSPS

Since we last spoke to her in December, things haven’t exactly gone Pilar Sanders’ way in her bitter divorce from sports legend Deion Sanders. Earlier this week, Deion was awarded full custody of the couple’s two sons, and joint custody of their daughter. In addition to having the sole right to determine where the children reside, the former NFL star will make all educational, health and extracurricular decisions for the boys, ages 11 and 13, and will share responsibility of his and Pilar’s 9-year-old daughter.

Although Deion’s camp is celebrating the court’s decision, Pilar’s people have made it clear that it isn’t over. In an exclusive statement to CherryOnTop, the actress/model’s publicist, Kali Bowyer, said:

“Pilar did not lose in court, her children are the ones who did. Pilar will be appealing the jury’s decision within the appropriate venue. She has vowed since day one to fight for her children and her rights. Mr. Sanders has been favored due to his celebrity status, as well as hidden under his financial veil. There is a long legal road ahead for all parties, the divorce proceedings have not yet even begun.”

A decision over the duo’s finances has yet to be reached, and we doubt this is the last we’ll hear about custody of the children. Keep checking CherryOnTop for future updates on this story.

LaLa Anthony addressed several rumors surrounding her and her marriage with Carmelo Anthony in a recent interview with Ear Candy on Demand. Check out highlights below:

On Kevin Garnett and the “Horny Nut Cherrios” comment:

“[Kevin] Garnett did not say that about me. He just said some things to my husband that he didn’t like . . . It happens

in the heat of battle. People don’t know what goes on on that court. Garnett’s known for [trash talking]. So it got under my husband’s skin, and things happen, but it wasn’t about me.”

On her marriage to Carmelo:

“We’ve been together for 10 years and I always say if people tell you their marriage is perfect, they’re lying. We’ve been together for ten years. We go through ups we go through downs just like everyone else. But we’re doing great and we’re raising an amazing son, Kiyan, who’s about to turn 6 in like a week. He’s so sweet and such a good kid. So definitely, we’re working through it and things are good.”

On how she laughed at the scandal:

“…To be in the middle of that whole entire thing you had to laugh. If you don’t laugh that stuff will start messing with your head and making you feel upset and down so I laugh about it….I have great friends and family who are sending me pictures on Honey Nut Cheerios boxes, and we’re making jokes about it.”

CherryOnTop Exclusive: Pilar Sanders Talks Divorce Drama!!!

After fourteen years of marriage, Pilar and Deion Sanders are now embroiled i

n one of the ugliest divorces in sports history. News of the once happy couple’s split made headlines late last year, and since then, rumors and accusations of abuse and infidelity have taken center stage as the duo battle over custody of their three children and a massive $250 million estate.

Deion, who currently works as a NFL Network analyst, hasn’t hesitated to talk about the drama and Pilar (most recently calling her the “ultimate gold digger”) in interviews and on social networking sites, but as the cliché goes, there’s two sides to every story. I recently got the chance to talk very candidly with Pilar about this very messy situation, and whether you’re Team Pilar or Team Deion, the interview is a must read. Check out what she said about Deion not paying child support, abuse, and the role she played in building the Deion Sanders brand below.

Late last year, rumors emerged that Deion was having an affair with a 19-year-old. The girl said in an interview in October that the relationship was not sexual. Do you believe her?

PS: The pictures, they speak for themselves. I don’t really speculate, I know what I saw, I know what everyone else saw. So, that says otherwise.

The girl also said she had to Google Deion to find out who he was, but denies knowing he was a married man.

PS: Yeah, after 14-years of marriage and a family show, I’m sure it’s kind of hard not to find me next to him.

You’ve accused Deion of being abusive in the past, including physical and verbal abusive. Can you give our readers a specific instance of this abuse?

PS: Most recently, every picture on the web would show that my arm was broken and he busted my thumb in attempts to knock me out, kill me, yeah. And maybe, perhaps, people will believe it more so now, that, unfortunately, they were seeing this season. The very drastic increase of athletes, football players who snap, and unfortunately, take their lives and other people’s lives with them. It’s not that far off, it’s not uncommon among athletes. It’s very, very, very not uncommon when you speak with other NFL wives, football wives, athletes’ wives.

I remember you being photographed wearing a cast after the situation that occurred at the house you once shared during which he’s accused you and a friend of jumping him. Can you tell us exactly what happened in the house that day?

PS: You know what, I’m 129 pounds, okay. He has been trained all his life to play baseball and to attack people. Football, you’re running, you’re grabbing; it’s a very violent sport. What kind of sense would it make for me at 5’9″, 129 pounds to attack someone his size? That just doesn’t make sense. And for what? No, not at all.

But you did have a friend with you?

PS: A friend was with me. She was in the house gathering up some things and helping me out, but no, she didn’t attack him at all. Neither did I.

Just to paint a clear picture of what you’re saying happened, he was the one that was confrontational and put his hands on you while you were in the house getting some of your things.

PS: I clearly didn’t break my own arm, or thumb. We had video to prove it. Why would someone destroy evidence if they weren’t guilty. We can look at the factual things that have happened. Why destroy the phone that was videotaping everything that happened? When my girlfriend ran down the stairs after she heard banging and screaming and such. She caught him on tape doing that stuff. Why destroy the tape if you weren’t doing anything?

You were charged with attacking him in that situation. What’s happened so far with that case?

PS: We’re still in the middle of it. Wrongfully labeled as attacking him mind you. Collin County, our county’s law states that if anyone is called to a home on domestic violence, that automatically, no matter who calls, the man is taken out of the house, period. No questions, no whatever, the man is just taken out of that house. Now if there’s a sign of blood or a sign of injury on anyone, including the woman, then the man is taken and removed from the home for 24 hours. This is a county and state law. When the police arrived to my home, they saw blood all over me, all over our floor, they saw blood and matter, just meat hanging from my hand. They removed me, they forced myself and my friend out of the home. That was wrong right there. So on so many counts, the police didn’t follow what they were suppose to do, but it was all planned. They had been there earlier that day, talked about it. I mean there is a tape where you can hear Deion telling the police these things.

You’re saying Deion and the police conspired to do those things?

PS: More than that, absolutely. They certainly didn’t abide by their pledges or the laws they are given to follow, I do know that.

Give us an update of what’s happening now. He has custody of your two sons, but you still have your daughter. Is that correct?

PS: Yes and no. It’s kind of a tough situation. What Deion has done was, he’s made a consistent habit of , since our divorce, throughout our divorce, to take my boys, even when we were living together, and basically kidnap them. Take them without me knowing, remove them from school without my knowledge, or ability to get in touch with them to speak with them for days on end. I mean this has been going on for months. The DA was involved, the police, lawyers, the court, so, unfortunately his yellow jacket [Hall of Fame jacket] affords him immunity. So many of the rules and orders that us regular folk have to abide by and do…something he would normally be punished for or a man would normally be punished for, he’s basically rewarded. So by him taking, sequestering my boys, not adhering to any of our possession orders, and the judge not really looking into it and not really understanding the complexity of his mind or situation. Normally you would think you’re dealing with normal people who really want the best interest of their children to spring forth and to lead, but it’s not always the case, and in this case, it’s not. So by him taking my children and acting as if yes, I have custody of them, and they’re mine, they’re mine, they’re mine, especially over the holidays, the judge said, “well, since they’re with you, you have them, and since the girl is with you, you have her.”

So, I mean I’ve had my boys, Deion has not stuck to the possession schedule, I’ve never kept my children from him, however, he has done that to me. Regardless of the fighting, regardless of how much he’s slandered my name and just called me all kinds of things, I’ve never kept my children from their dad, and I’ve never made it appear to be that way, so that’s not what I want my children to know, I don’t want them to remember their mother ever doing, but sooner or later they’re going to grow up. They’re old enough to read and understand and see things now, so they’ve seen a lot, they understand a lot. but when it comes time for them to date and enter relationships and understand complexities of life, they’ll put it together.

As far as child support goes, you supposedly were getting $10,500 per month. Were you actually getting child support from him?

PS: I was never, ever, ever once paid child support, at all. Never once. And I’ve seen his statement saying “and I have the canceled checks to prove it,” but he never showed it, now did he? He never showed you one of his canceled checks of child support that he’s paid, did he? Absolutely not, and he won’t because he hasn’t.

I’m glad to be getting your side of the story because as the saying goes, there are two sides to every story. Because he is who he is, we tend to always hear his side.

PS: Exactly, and he became who he is not by his own merit, he became who he is by the grace of God and by the grace of God putting me with him because let me tell you sweetheart, out of the 14 years that mama’s been home, I haven’t been sitting around eating bon bons, I’ve been building our family brand. I’ve been building up Deion Sanders because why not? He’s my husband. You’re the brand we can market the most and market right now. So once you think you got your feet down and your ears dry, you want to go act a fool. Okay, go ahead, but you know, you’ve got to answer to somebody.

So basically, you were his partner in every way.

PS: No, no, no, no, no, partner? Ride-or-die partner. Yes ma’am, absolutely. One hundred percent, I’m not just a baby machine. Uh uh, no, mama held down the fort nice and strong.

Your attorney is trying to have your marriage annulled. That’s very unusual for a marriage that’s lasted 14 years. Typically, people who’ve been married a short length time seek out annulments, and they’re usually given for reasons such as fraud and concealment. What reason applies to your situation?

PS: Everything that you just mentioned. It’ll definitely be out; it’s already been out in a courtroom so
it’s not a secret, but the document was something his attorneys drew up.

And that’s the prenup you’re referring to, right?

PS: Absolutely. His attorneys drew that up.

The prenup gives you one million dollars and a $100,000, or something like that? [publicist adds ‘signing bonus’, as it’s being reported in the media]

PS: No, it’s not even any of that. They thought they would make a joke out of it and label it as such, but no. We don’t even need to really go into that because it’s really not valid. It’s not a valid agreement number one. However, if by some stretch of the imagination you want to deem it valid, okay, it’s valid. The document itself says ‘and cause for grounds of an annulment’, now that’s something that his attorney came up with, not mine.

Why do you say the prenup isn’t valid? Did you not read it all? What about it isn’t valid?

PS: I was able to read the pages that were presented to me, I was not able to read the pages that were added after I signed it. Yeah, certain things I didn’t know about.

Typically when you have a legal document like that, you have to initial beside the clauses on each page.

PS: You hit the nail right on the head. You certainly do, and if you don’t initial it, usually it’s just not initialed. But in cases where you have people who operate with power and money, and who are used to getting what they want, however they want, and it will be done however they want it to be done, if you don’t take the steps to initial, I guess they’re just going to do it for you, and that’s what happened in my case, without my knowledge.

You’re saying that not only were pages added after the fact, but your initials were forged?

PS: Oh absolutely.

When it’s all said and done, what do you want from the divorce?

PS: Freedom. I just want to live my life with my babies, and do everything they’ve always wanted to do. I teach no limits, I teach them to dream, I teach them to live life and have fun. To not live in a bubble where they have to feel they have to act a certain way or be a certain way. I want them to experience different cultures, to appreciate the beauty God created in different cultures, different lands, different foods, different languages. All of that. My oldest son is very much into music production. You might hear the music right now. He’s creating beats from tracks. He’s like a little genius; he picks up on anything and everything just immediately. He’s into skateboarding and plays the trumpet and piano. My other son does the piano and wants to do the trumpet, and sports. That’s something that comes very natural for all of them, including my daughter. The athletics are there. They’re very bright. They speak Spanish, they want to learn other languages. I just want them to be able to live a full rich life, and rich in all of its grandiose.

I had a t-shirt line called ‘Rich Girls’. It wasn’t about the dollar sign, it was about rich in knowledge, rich in life, you know. Not lacking anything, not broken, being full of everything. Being full of life, full of energy, full of love, and that’s what I teach them. Even throughout this process, as hard as it’s been, you can’t hold stuff in. You can’t hold bitterness in ’cause it will eat you up. So just moving, experiencing, whatever it is. Good, bad, hurt, pain, joy, happiness, experience it to the fullest, and then keep going. I know under my tutelage, they’ve been able to move like that. Away from me, it’s very hard for them ’cause I nursed all three for 13 months. We have a bond that’s not to be broken.

Bridget Kelly graces the December digital cover of Stuff Fly People Like.com. Check out highlights from her interview with the mag below:

ON ADVICE SHE RECEIVED FROM JAY-Z:

“The most important advice is to remain humble and patient. Also to always be grateful for everyone that’s around you. Someone like Jay has a lot of people around him from the very beginning. He’s been loyal to his crew and all of his friends. There’s a couple of people that work for his enterprise. I think he’s very grateful for everyone’s contribution to his efforts and his success.”

ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HER ALBUM:

“‘Special Delivery’ was definitely the launch pad. Putting it out has reminded people that I’m
not asleep. I’m working hard still trying to perfect my craft. As far as the album goes, I worked with a lot of the same people that I worked with on the EP like Shea Taylor, James Fauntleroy, Cristyle who is an amazing writer who did Special Delivery actually, and Jerry Wonder who is another great producer. I think that I am blessed to be able to call some of the heavy hitters for this project and I think everyone is going to love it.”

CherryOnTop Exclusive: Jermaine Dupri Introduces Fresco Kane

Up-and-comer Fresco Kane is already making his mark on the industry. The St. Louis native not only raps, but sings and produces as well, making him a triple threat. Fresco’s talent has attracted the attention of both hip-hop fans and veterans of the industry, including Busta Rhymes and So So Def CEO Jermaine Dupri, who signed the 26-year-old within hours of hearing his music. Recently, CherryOnTop caught up with the duo to talk about Fresco’s sound, his influences, and comparisons to a certain Canadian hip-hop star. Check out the exclusive interview below:

JD, we heard you signed Fresco within hours of meeting him. What was it about him that made you sign him so quickly?

JD: Music. I heard the music, and the music just hit me like on some I walked out of the room…I heard the music playing, and I walked away from the music. Then the music brought me back in the room, and I was like, “Who’s song is that?” It felt fresh, and it felt very new. Something about that St. Louis sound always struck me as a new sounding hip-hop. Coming from a different area, they got a different slang, and a lot of time, the beats sound different as well. It’s a lot of different things that they do. So when I heard it, I was just like, you know, looking for something that sounded relatively new, and it just struck me. When I walked out the room, it brought me back in the room to ask the question, and I was just like, you know, ‘Let me get the CD.’ When I got the CD, I rode the CD to my house, and I heard so much more diversity within that one artist, and I was just like, ‘Oh, this guy needs a deal.’

Tell us a little bit about your mix tape, ‘Whatz My Name.’

FK: Whatz My Name is just trying to get people familiar with the new name change. I used to go by the name of Gena, and I made a lot of noise with that. I had a top 30 single last year called My Dip in the Club. So just to familiarize people who I am ’cause I did change my name right before I signed, and a lot of people just didnt’ know that.

According to your bio, you play multiple instruments. How many do you play at this point?

FK: Clarinet, saxophone, drums, piano. I would just say those 4.

How has that affected your sound as a hip-hop artist?

FK: It makes my music a lot more musical. Especially as a producer, with my making beats. I’m just like a musical guy. It’s hard for me to get crunk sometimes. I also think it helps when I’m singing as far as melodies and what notes to put and doing harmonies. It’s influenced me a lot in that way.

Are you doing any singing on the mix tape?

FK: Oh yes, I’m singing on the mix tape.

Would you say your sound is along the lines of Drake since he raps and sings as well?

FK: A few people have compared me to him. I think it’s just because we both can totally 100% flip from doing singing and then doing rapping. We can kind of separate the two. I think he’s another artist that can do that as well. So I’ll take that comparison; that’s a good comparison.

I read somewhere that you were consumed with D’Angelo’s debut album ‘Brown Sugar.’ Now what was it about that album that affected you in that way?

FK: I had a big cousin named Wayne. He was in Indiana, but he used to always visit us. Everytime he visited us, he always bought new music and introduced me to it. When he introduced me to D’Angelo, he had beats in his car, so the soundsystem was so perfect. So when I heard it, I really got to hear everything in its entirety. That album was put together like, perfect, and it just got me hooked on that type of music. When D’Angelo came out, he was different for his time. He had braids, he was like a rough, R&B thug singer that had this soulful music that nobody had ever heard before.

What other artists have impacted you in that same way?

FK: Nas. When I first started rapping, I was a Nas-aholic. I started off rapping like very lyrical, into metaphors and things like that.

My background is like real deep, and it’s a lot of different music, like The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, stuff like that. It’s just embedded in my head for some reason. I almost feel like I should have been born in the 60s.

You mentioned being lyrical. Now do you consider yourself a lyricist rather than a rapper? Because there’s a difference.

FK: My name used to be Gena, but Gena was short for Genesis the Lyricist. That’s what my friends in high school named me when I was 16. I very much consider myself a lyricist because I think about what I’m saying, I don’t just say it. But I know at times, I can be more lyrical than other times on some songs. If it’s needed, I can do it. I think it helps me be the all-around artist that I am today because I did have that phase where I was hooked on that type of stuff. I think it’s in me, and once it’s in me, it’s always in me. It gives me the leverage to bounce on any kind of beat.

What has it been like working with JD?

FK: It’s been cool. It was definitely unexpected the way he was so cool. In the studio, he’s just like me. When the music cuts on, he cuts on. So we’re both in there bouncing, and we both feed off of each other’s ideas. It’s been real cool working with JD.

Alicia Keys Talks Homewrecker Rumors

Alicia Keys is still defending herself against rumors that she began dating her current husband Swizz Beatz while he was still married to his first wife, Mashonda Tifrere. The “Girl On Fire” singer has taken a lot of heat since many people blame her for Swizz split with Mashonda, including Mashonda herself.

Although Alicia remained mum on the rumors at the start of her relationship with the hip-hop super producer, she’s now defending herself in interviews, including in a recent interview with the new issue of JET. She told the mag of the allegations that she’s a homewrecker:

“…[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…”

Adding she and Swizz “live in each other’s shadow” (we think that one went right over our heads because we don’t know what the hell that means), Alicia said of their marriage:

“I’d never met a person where I could be fully myself…Swizz and I live in each other’s shadow. So we can occupy the same space and there is nothing but equality. There’s something really powerful about that.”

We can’t say with certainty that Alicia broke up Swizz’s marriage with Mashonda, but what we do know is that she and Swizz have been married for over two years now and have an adorable son together. At this point, talking about this situation is like beating a dead horse.

You can read the rest of Alicia’s interview when the new issue of JET hits newsstands on Monday, November 19th.

Evelyn Lozada Sits Down For First Interview Since Head-Butting Incident

It’s been 3 weeks since Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was arrested for allegedly head-butting his estranged wife, Evelyn Lozada. Reportedly, the incident occurred after Eve confronted the NFL star over a receipt for condoms that she found in their car. Within a few days of the altercation that left her with lacerations on her head, the Basketball Wives star filed for divorce after only 41 days of marriage. Since then, Eve has kept a low profile, but last night on ABC’s Nightline, the world got to hear for the first time her version of what happened that night and how she’s been feeling since. Check out highlights from the interview below:

ON WHAT HAPPENED WHEN SHE CONFRONTED CHAD WITH CHEATING ALLEGATIONS AND THREATENED TO LEAVE HIM:

“…the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here [pointing to her head] and he head-butted me. I felt blood coming down my face… and I looked at him and I said, ‘You just head-butted me?’ And it just — everything just felt if it was in slow motion.”

ON DECIDING TO WALK AWAY FROM THE MARRIAGE:

“It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love. But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.”

ON THE INCIDENT’S AFTERMATH:

“I believe he loves me. I believe he needs to get help. He’s a good guy that made a bad choice. He loves football and he’s very driven and a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life, and I hate that I’m connected to that.”

“I didn’t get high before I met Whitney … I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all …it’s just unexplainable I’m not the reason she’s gone.”

ON WHITNEY’S DRUG USE AND HIS NOT KNOWING SHE WAS STILL STRUGGLING WITH HER ADDICTION:

“I was hurt. I was hurt … Because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years — I felt that she was, you know, I didn’t know she was struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know– listen, it’s a hard fight. It’s a hard fight to, you know, maintain sobriety that way.”

“From what I feel and you know, how I saw her, the last time I saw her, it had to be that particular day. You know, it had to be that one, because that’s all it takes … One hit, you know, and you know, it could definitely take your life away from you. And, unfortunately, that was it.”

ON SEEING WHITNEY FOR THE LAST TIME A WEEK BEFORE SHE DIED:

“She had this glow about her that was just, you know, incredible. She looked really well. She just looked like she was in a good place.”

ON ALLEGATIONS THAT HE’S TO BLAME FOR WHITNEY’S DRUG USE:

“[They] make me feel terrible. But you know, I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us . . . they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together.”

“The reality show gave us a wakeup. We [were] able to see that our drug use had affected our relationship, had affected the love that we felt for each other.”

The interview airs on Wednesday and Thursday on TODAY.

Cissy Houston: "I Did The Best I Could" With Whitney Houston

In the nearly 2 months since Whitney Houston’s death, her mother, Cissy Houston, has remained relatively silent in the press. But in a recent interview conducted during a gospel rehearsal at the New Hope Baptist Church where Whitney’s funeral was held, Cissy (a famed singer in her own right) opened up about dealing with her daughter’s life struggles (including a drug addiction that contributed to her death), slammed the media’s coverage of her death, and addressed the rumor that Whitney was broke when she died. She told Brenda Blackmon of NYC’s My9 News:

“I know I did the best I could. … I don’t blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.”

During the interview, Cissy also lashed out at the media for their coverage of her daughter’s shocking death, describing it as “awful”. She said:

“All they know is what they hear, bad things, she’s had her ups and downs. Who hasn’t? Let them think and know what they want to say…I just hope they never come and say it to me.”

Addressing the rumor that Whitney died broke, Cissy said:

“Whitney did not die broke … she’s not broke. None of that crap.”

The interview will air in its entirety during the 10 O’Clock news on channel nine on Monday night. Check out a preview in the video below:
