Evelyn Lozada And Chad Ochocinco's Wedding Back On

After postponing their wedding planning amid rumors of cheating (we told you about that here), Basketball Wives: Miami star Evelyn Lozada is back to planning her wedding to Chad Ochocinco. According to TMZ:

“Chad Ochocinco has saved his relationship with Evelyn Lozada the old fashioned way … with a lot of groveling … and the wedding is back on, this according to sources close to the couple.

As TMZ first reported, Lozada put their wedding plans on hold after she suspected Ocho was stepping out on her.

But according to our sources, Ocho broke down this week and apologized. We’re told Ocho said he would do whatever it took to win her back and suggested the two go to couple’s counseling.

Our sources say Evelyn agreed and they will seek help to work out their trust issues.

Through a rep, Evelyn tells TMZ, ‘The strain from both our busy schedules started to take a serious toll on our relationship. Yet after spending some much needed quality time together, Chad and I are in a good space.'”

We can’t help but think these two set up this whole situation for the sake of their reality show.

The two are set to be married in the summer — and while Evelyn hasn’t ‘officiall’ cancelled the wedding yet, we’re thinkin’ the priest should start making other plans.

Plus, Chad and Evelyn were supposed to begin shooting their new reality show in just three weeks … we’re told that plan is also up in the air.”

Jimmy Kimmel Viewers: Naughty or Nice?

We all know TV can negatively affect children, but who knew it could touch them in so many ways. Kids can now feel its influence by proxy of their parents’ viewing habits, particularly their viewing of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The late-night prankster recently proposed to his audience that they let their kids open one present early this year so long as the present is… well… terrible. Viewers did and sent in the footage of what has become quite the viral, if not controversial, video.

Mr. Kimmel is no stranger to pranking, be it inflicted upon children, coworkers or celebrities. One of his best goes back to his days at Comedy Central’s The Man Show where he and co-host Adam Carolla tied a fake deer to the roof of a car and made it talk to passing pedestrians. When he moved on to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC, he took his devious talent with him to create memorable moments like asking basketball player Rob Artest to do a PSA for a fake animal rescue organization, painting his aunt’s house bright orange when she wasn’t home, and prank calls to staff members by the Jonas Brothers.

Kimmel quickly moved from celebrities and coworkers to the American public when he invited his audience to wake up their loved ones with a splash of water on April Fool’s Day. After a much bigger response than he expected, it soon became clear where the best entertainment could be found. The next mission he sent out was for parents to tell their kids that they were late for school… on the first day of summer. This one produced less successful results because clearly, no one forgets the monumental event that is the last day of school. They did remember the Holy Grail of Halloween candy though, and Kimmel’s next prank garnered over 25 million hits when parents told their gullible offspring that they had eaten all of their kids’ candy. The newest Youtube Challenge brought in over 11 million views, and with Christmas approaching and links a-posting, it’s likely it will be gaining more.

Kimmel realized he hit the jackpot once crying kids got involved. Tantruming little angels bring audiences from far and wide because everyone has an opinion, and these latest experiments have brought out opinions of every kind. From mothers to frat guys, video comment pages are filled with people letting out their emotions. Is this truly a cruel, psychologically scaring, inconsiderate, dishonest, humiliating experience for the children or an eye-opening dissection of this nation’s inability to parent their children and teach them gratitude and grace? Is it an example of the disintegration of the morals and ethics of the television medium? Is it just hilarious?

It’s important to note that there are some things that everyone can reasonably agree on. How children react to situations is based upon how they see their parents react. This is especially true for the youngest of kids, who have yet to be socially shaped through school. It’s not unreasonable to point out that if these children behaved less than desirably, a large part of that behavior was displayed by their parents. This does not excuse or diminish the fact that parents set out to intentionally deceive their kids for the purpose of posting it to the internet in hopes of it appearing on late-night television.

The cruelness of the intentional deceit is debatable depending on how you feel about Santa and the Tooth Fairy. Those two can get kids hopes pretty high too, but ultimately end in… well, reality. Another part of determining the joke’s meanness depends on one’s feelings for practical jokes in general. Someone who loves them will clearly think that the Halloween and Christmas present videos were all done for the sake of humor and that the kids will be fine. Someone who doesn’t enjoy practical jokes will certainly see this as callous and harmful.

There isn’t a chance that people will come to an agreement about whether the video is hilarious or hurtful, but there is a chance that it will be remembered and talked about energetically. The discussion might even come up this weekend, but perhaps, in the spirit of the holidays, it should be keep it to just that – a discussion.

Things Heat Up Between Toni And Tamar Braxton

Things are beginning to heat up between Toni and Tamar Braxton on Braxton Family Values. This Thursday’s episode of the WE tv hit reality show gives us a glimpse inside the tension between the sisters and the reason why Toni fired Tamar’s husband Vince as her manager. Maybe there’s something to those rumors about the duo being unable to do any interviews together because of all of their fighting (we told you about that here). It also sheds new light on the reason for Toni’s absence during the Braxtons’ NYC private screening of the first episode of their show back in November (if you missed that, check out our ‘All Access’ video with the Braxtons here):

All Access: The Braxtons (Video)

As we previously reported, the Braxtons hit NYC during a recent promotional jaunt to plug the second season of their hit reality show, WE tv’s Braxton Family Values. During a private screening of the first episode of the new season, CherryOnTop got the chance to talk to them about what fans can expect from the new season of the show, sibling rivalry and Mama Evelyn’s old school parenting values. Tamar also revealed how her husband, Vincent Herbert (who was recently hospitalized), is doing, as well as how she feels about the negative things being said about her as a result of the show. During the Q&A, the ladies also addressed Toni’s absence from the screening (as we previously told you, a few media outlets are reporting that the tension between Toni and Tamar has gotten so bad, that they will no longer do interviews together) and the effect the show has had on their relationships (Trina put it best, “My relationship was bad the first season, and it’s bad the second season.”).
